ST JOHNSTONE RATINGS
ZANDER CLARK 6
Had little chance with the Celtic goals. Other than that, a decent performance from the keeper.
SHAUN ROONEY 8
Got forward on the right flank. Did well defensively too up against Greg Taylor and David Turnbull. Great header for his goal.
JASON KERR 6
Made a couple of important interceptions in defence but should have stopped a Ryan Christie cross for Celtic’s equaliser.
LIAM GORDON 6
Did his best up against Odsonne Edouard. Will be disappointed to not come away with any points.
JAMIE MCCART 6
A busy afternoon up against his former team. Fared well up against an attacking Hoops line-up though.
CALLUM BOOTH 7
Had a key interception on the line in the first half. Pinpoint cross for Rooney as Saints opened the scoring.
CRAIG BRYSON 7
Energetic in the middle. Tidy in possession and sparked a number of Saints counterattacks.
ALI MCCANN 8
Lost count of the number of times he made interceptions for Saints. Broke up play and sparked his team on the counter throughout.
CRAIG CONWAY 7
Supported Chris Kane and looked a threat when on the ball. Made a couple of defence splitting passes.
DAVID WOTHERSPOON 7
Such a talent in the final third for St Johnstone. Tricky on the ball and had a couple of half chances in front of goal.
CHRIS KANE 6
Quiet 70 minutes for the striker. Put himself about and battled well up against the Celtic backline though.
SUBS
STEVIE MAY (FOR KANE, 70) 3
Ran the channels well in the last 20 minutes.
GLENN MIDDLETON (FOR CONWAY, 70) 4
Looked bright when introduced from the bench. A few direct runs at the Celtic defence.
MICHAEL O’HALLORAN (FOR KERR, 83) 3
Added a bit of pace late on.
