Sir Alex Ferguson’s reaction to the fight between Patrice Evra and Nemanja Vidic.
Patrice Evra and Nemanja Vidic, both Manchester United icons, played for Sir Alex Ferguson at Old Trafford.
Patrice Evra, a Manchester United midfielder, has disclosed Sir Alex Ferguson’s reaction to a brawl between himself and Nemanja Vidic. Both players joined the club during the 2006 summer transfer window. However, they had a sluggish start before becoming Old Trafford sensations.
Evra joined Manchester United from Monaco in 2006, and the France international was brought in to compete with Gabriel Heinze.
They also signed Vidic, a Serbian international who had previously played for Spartak Moscow.
Both players went on to become United legends, with each winning five Premier League titles and the Champions League in 2008.
They did, however, have teething issues at first.
In an interview with United’s official website, Evra said that Ferguson moved Rio Ferdinand’s position after a ‘conflict’ between him and Vidic.
“We arrived at the same time and struggled together,” he remarked.
