Liverpool will look to land RB Leipzig striker Timo Werner in the summer transfer window, according to reports.
The Germany international – who reportedly has a £51m release clause in his contract – has scored 25 goals and contributed seven assists in all competitions this season, helping Leipzig to second place in the Bundesliga standings.
Premier League sides Liverpool, Manchester United and Chelsea have all been linked with Werner recently following another good campaign for the 23-year-old.

A report in January from Bild said that Liverpool was Werner’s ‘preferred goal’ as he weighed up a summer move to the Premier League.
And now SportBild (via Sport Witness) claims that ‘Liverpool are serious’ over a move for the German in the summer and they ‘want’ the striker.
The RB Leipzig man is on Jurgen Klopp’s wanted list and the ‘ideal’ style of his Liverpool side is seen as a major pull for Werner.
The report goes on to claim that Liverpool made some contact in January over Werner as they considered a move in the winter market – but they will now focus on landing him in the summer.
