Leigh Halfpenny Spilled ball for Hogg try and was forced off late in first half. 5

Louis Rees-Zammit The man of the man finished well for his first try and created and finished his second magnificently. 9

Owen Watkin Put in an impressive shift at the breakdown and linked well in attack. 7

Nick Tompkins Made vital pass for Rees-Zammit try and carried out some good mopping-up work in defence. 8

Liam Williams Moved from wing to full-back after Halfpenny’s departure and took his try well. 8

Dan Biggar Missed a couple of kicks that could have been important and looked less assured than usual. 6

Gareth Davies Defensively sound and linked well with pack at times, but like Biggar was taken off with half an hour still to play. 6

Wyn Jones Enjoyed good start in scrum and rounded off a memorable afternoon with a try. 7

Ken Owens The hooker put in a solid all-round display, making a particularly important contribution to the lineout. 8

Tomas Francis Fought hard against Rory Sutherland at the set piece. 7 

Adam Beard Worked effectively at breakdown and enjoyed some excellent lineout work. 8

Alun Wyn Jones Conceded a couple of early penalties but performed well in lineout. 7 

Adam Wainwright Had the odd slack moments in possession but otherwise contributed solidly. 7

Justin Tipuric The openside was dynamic at the breakdown and played a major role in keeping his team in the fight when the pressure was on. 8

Taulupe Faletau Started quietly but grew in influence as space opened up. 7 

Best of the rest: 

Uilisi Halaholo Centre came on for his debut late in first half and acquitted himself well in defence. 7

Callum Sheedy and Kieran Hardy Replacement half-backs livened up the attack when they came off the bench together for final half-hour 7
