Rio Ferdinand has urged Newcastle United to ‘go all out’ in their pursuit of Raheem Sterling, Declan Rice, and Jesse Lingard.

RIO FERDINAND has pushed Newcastle United to assemble a nucleus of English players, citing Raheem Sterling, Declan Rice, and Jesse Lingard as suitable targets.

The Magpies were recently the subject of a high-profile £300 million takeover by a Saudi-led group, bringing Mike Ashley’s 14-year rule to an end.

Newcastle now has the world’s wealthiest owners, with Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund worth a staggering £320 billion.

They are nearly ten times as wealthy as Manchester City’s billionaires, and nearly fifty times as wealthy as Nasser Al-Khelaifi of Paris Saint-Germain.

Toon manager Steve Bruce is expected to be fired, with SunSport reporting that Frank Lampard is a major candidate to take his place.

Newcastle’s focus has shifted to who they can sign in the coming transfer windows, with Manchester United star Rio Ferdinand listing a number of players they should seek.

“I’d be going to try and make like a mad couple of signings, like major, that I think would be gettable,” he added on his FIVE YouTube channel.

“People like Raheem Sterling would be on my radar.” I’d go ask Raheem Sterling the question if he wasn’t playing regularly. ‘What’s going on,’ I’d go ask Declan Rice.

“They’d be the top two on my list, and I’d go to any length to obtain them.” Then I’d aim to get players like Jesse Lingard, who is currently a member of the Manchester United squad.unrealistic ‘”It’s until you ask the question. I’d go out there and get replies from these types of players, and then you go down your list.” Newcastle fans have joked about the club signing World Cup champion Kylian Mbappe due to the club’s current fortune.

However, Ferdinand has indicated that they have little chance of signing the PSG forward, and that Newcastle should focus on young English players instead.

“[Mbappe] is simply dreamland,” he said, “but there are people on the edge of the Man United team, Chelsea squad, City squad.”

“I’d be on the lookout for players like that, and I’d be all over them.”

“After that, I’d like to find some young talents from all around the world that you believe would be able to mix and blend in with that.”

“Do you have any idea who I’d go out and fetch right now?” For young English talent, I’d go insane. The most promising emerging English talent.

“Max Aarons, Norwich’s right-back and Under-21 player. Straight in there, Conor Gallagher. Get him into that room.

“They’re two names right away, young kids that I’d guess are coming to Newcastle,” says the narrator. I want to be youthful… Brinkwire News in a Nutshell
