Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos has reportedly agreed terms with Lille ahead of a possible move.
According to RMC Sport, negotiations are now underway between Rangers and Lille over a transfer fee.
Luis Campos, Lille’s sporting director, met Morelos to discuss the club’s project and the player is eager for the deal to go ahead.
Having finished in fourth place in Ligue 1, Lille will be competing in the Europa League next season, meaning there could be a reunion for Morelos and Rangers if the transfer goes ahead.
Morelos could replace Victor Osimhen, who is poised to leave Lille for Napoli.
Morelos has made a major impact since he joined Rangers from HJK Helsinki in 2017.
In total, he has scored 77 goals in 137 appearances for the club, while he was named Rangers’ player of the year for the 2018-19 campaign.
Although his current contract at Rangers runs until 2023, Morelos could soon depart.
The new Scottish Premiership season gets underway next weekend, with Rangers starting their season away to Aberdeen.
