Ralf Rangnick, the manager of Manchester United, has issued a harsh warning to his players ahead of their match against Aston Villa.

Ralf Rangnick, Manchester United’s manager, has slammed his players.

Manchester United players, according to Ralf Rangnick, are not putting in the physical effort required to be a top Premier League team.

The interim manager made the harsh assessment based on his nine games in charge and ahead of Aston Villa’s visit to the FA Cup third round tonight.

Rangnick believes that not only do United’s players need to step up their game in order to catch Manchester City, but that there are plenty of teams below them who are putting in even more effort.

Rangnick, who wants his players to work harder outside of possession, stated, “This is the only way we can compete in this league and at that level.”

“When you watch games, even if it’s not the best teams, they play with intensity, physicality, energy, and sprint.”

“This is exactly what we need to do.

This is the type of team we need to become.

“I said after the first game against Crystal Palace that we showed a lot of those things, at least in the first half, and now it’s about integrating this into the team in a long-term way,” he said.

“This is our job, and we have to do it with the players, and we have to develop the players, identify the players who are willing and able to do that and deliver for each game,” he said.

Rangnick believes his high-pressing style can be implemented by United’s players and that he is getting his message across in team meetings.

“The team can win games by dominating them.”

That was the case in both games against Burnley and Palace, and this is exactly what we need to do in the coming weeks to help the team develop into a dominant force.

“This can only be done when they have possession, and when they don’t have possession, they do things together.”

Rangnick is attempting to unify a dressing room that, he admits, contains a number of players dissatisfied with their current playing situation and others looking for a way out of the club either in January or in the summer.

However, he has received a boost after Edinson Cavani stated that he has no plans to leave the club before his contract expires in the summer.

“Edi assured me that he would stay until the end.”
