Rafael Nadal slams Novak Djokovic over the Australian Open visa snafu.

NOVAK DJOKOVIC has been ordered to return home after his visa application was denied.

Rafael Nadal has pushed back against Novak Djokovic’s anti-vaccine stance, insisting that the world No. 1 must face the “consequences” of refusing to be vaccinated after being ordered to return home.

Tennis Australia had originally granted Djokovic a’medical exemption’ to compete in the first Grand Slam of 2022.

In Australia, where strict lockdown restrictions have been in place since the outbreak began, the decision has sparked outrage.

Some tennis fans warned that they would either stop watching or that Djokovic would face a hostile environment.

However, when Djokovic arrived in Australia on Wednesday, he was detained at the airport for nine hours before being ordered to leave by the Border Force.

Djokovic’s lawyers have filed an appeal, but it appears increasingly unlikely that he will compete in the Australian Open.

As news of Djokovic’s situation continued to circulate, Nadal was asked for his thoughts on the situation.

“Of course, what’s going on right now isn’t good for anyone,” Nadal said.

“However, I can’t give a clear opinion on everything because, to be honest, I don’t have all the facts.”

“It appears to be a difficult situation, but at the end of the day, all I can say is that we have been through a very trying time, and many families have suffered greatly over the last two years as a result of the pandemic.”

“I mean, it’s natural for Australians to be frustrated with the case because they’ve been through a lot of very difficult lockdowns, and a lot of people haven’t been able to return home.”

“From my perspective, the only thing I can say is that I believe what people who are knowledgeable about medicine say, and if people say we need to be vaccinated, we should get the vaccine.”

“I went through the COVID process and was twice vaccinated.”

You won’t have any problems playing here if you do this.

That’s the only thing that’s obvious.

“As for the rest, I don’t want to have or give you an opinion based on the fact that I don’t have all of the facts.”

“The only thing that is clear to me is that if you are vaccinated, you are.
