PSG transfer links: Georginio Wijnaldum delivers message to Paul Pogba
PSG has been linked with a deal for Paul Pogba.
Paul Pogba, who is entering the final year of his current deal, has been extensively linked with a move to Paris Saint-Germain this summer. If Manchester United are unable to reach an agreement on a new contract, the club may attempt to sell Pogba this summer in order to avoid losing him on a free transfer.
Adidas and Manchester United have unveiled their official 2021/22 home jersey, which features a modern take on the club’s traditional designs.
Pogba, according to the Daily Star, has turned down a new long-term contract worth £350,000 a week.
Pogba is said to have turned down the offer in order to push through a move to PSG.
United would also be willing to sell Pogba for roughly £60 million, according to reports.
And Georginio Wijnaldum, who joined PSG from Liverpool recently, would relish the opportunity to play with Pogba, whom he describes as “one of the best midfielders in the world.”
“I would love to have Pogba with us,” Wijnaldum remarked to RMC Sport.
“He’s incredible. I’ve had the pleasure of playing against him on multiple occasions – such a player!
“If you ask any player from another team if they want Pogba to join them, they will all say yes because he is a wonderful player with many talents.
“He’s a complete midfielder, one of the finest in the world.”
PSG has already had a busy transfer window, bringing in a lot of high-caliber players.
On a free transfer, Real Madrid legend Sergio Ramos and Italy’s Euro 2020 winning goalie Gianluigi Donnarumma joined Wijnaldum at the Ligue 1 giants.
Achraf Hakimi, a full-back from Inter Milan, has also joined the club in a €60 million (£51.3 million) transfer.
Wijnaldum told PSG TV that he believes his new team has a good chance of winning trophies, saying, “I’ve proved at the places I’ve been at that I’m a player who wants to win.”
“I have a mindset of always wanting to improve and learn from my colleagues and instructors.
“I’ll attempt to bring this approach to the team and integrate into the group as quickly as possible.
“PSG is a team that wants to win, and they’ve come a long way in recent years, having played in a Champions League final and reaching the semi-finals last season.
“I believe,” says the narrator of Brinkwire Summary News.
