Pedri has signed a new five-year contract with Barcelona… containing a one-billion-euro release clause
According to rumours, BARCELONA and Pedri have agreed to a new five-year contract with a ONE BILLION euro release clause.
The 18-year-old phenom will sign a contract that will last until 2026 and features one of the most draconian release clauses in history.
Fabrizo Romano, a transfer expert, believes so.
“Barcelona have obtained entire agreement with Pedri to extend his contract till June 2026, here we go!” he tweeted on Wednesday.
In the coming hours/days, a new contract will be inked.
“Final provisions were also agreed upon and fixed.
“EXCL: Pedri’s new release clause will be €1B (one billion euros).”
His current contract is set to expire at the end of the season.

“That’s one helluva release clause,” tweeted LaLiga ambassador Gary Lineker.
Pedri is expected to play a key figure in Barcelona’s post-Lionel Messi comeback.
He has only appeared four times this season after a stellar debut season in which he made 37 league games.
Liverpool were rumored to be interested, but this latest development has apparently put them off.
Barca has had recent on-pitch and off-pitch problems, but the prospect of a new generation of stars provides genuine cause for optimism.
The Spain international had a strong showing at Euro 2020, but has been hampered by injury so far this season.
Pedri joined from Las Palmas in 2019 after a £4.3 million deal, which has since been increased to £13 million due to caveats.

Koeman recently sang Pedri’s praises, saying: “He’s a young player who pays attention and works hard, and he has a bright future ahead of him.
“He is mentally tough because he would not have survived the last 12 months if he wasn’t.”
