Nuno Espirito Santo, the manager of Tottenham Hotspur, discloses transfer plans as Harry Kane’s future remains unknown.
Spurs’ newly-appointed manager has acknowledged that the club is on the lookout for new additions ahead of the season’s first match.
As they prepare to ward off plenty of attention, Tottenham manager Nuno Espirito Santo has admitted that a number of his players are being pursued by rival clubs.
Santo has only been in charge for three weeks, but he is convinced that Spurs will be able to resist the temptation to sell some of their young talent as they prepare for next season.
When you have a team with as much quality as current Tottenham team, bids from rival teams are unavoidable, according to the Portuguese manager.
When asked if there has been any tangible interest from other clubs in our players, Santo said, “In our players? Of certainly, because we have such talented players.
“I believe that when you have such good players, every team in the world looks at you to see if they can copy you (buy).
“However, I hope that everyone here wants to be here.” This is the most important message.”
Santo’s words appear to imply that no one is for sale and that none of the players at his disposal are now surplus to needs.
The club’s interest in star striker Harry Kane is widely known, while Dele Alli and Harry Winks have been linked with moves elsewhere in the hope of reviving their careers.
The former Wolves manager has been eager to emphasize that every player will be given a fresh start, regardless of what happened under previous managers such as Mauricio Pochettino and Jose Mourinho.
This mentality helps players like Alli and Winks, who were soon dropped by Santo’s predecessor.
“Everyone here has a chance – and what occurred before isn’t that important,” Espirito Santo remarked.
“What I’m seeing right now is how I judge it, and all of the guys are putting in a lot of effort.” Every player will be required since this will be a long and difficult season.”
Winks, the 25-year-old midfielder, was a big topic, with Santo being asked about him several times. “Brinkwire News in Condensed Form.”
