Newcastle United are being pushed to’sell the fantasy’ to Paul Pogba in order to secure his transfer to Manchester United.

Chris Waddle has urged Newcastle United to test the waters with Paul Pogba by ‘selling the dream’ Frenchman with his contract expiring next summer, and the Magpies new found money

Chris Waddle has urged Newcastle United to ‘sell the dream’ to Paul Pogba as the nouveau-money Magpies look to splash the cash.

The PIF Group, backed by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, purchased the Magpies from Mike Ashley earlier this month.

Paul Pogba is out of contract next summer, and he has been linked with a plethora of moves away from Old Trafford.

However, a surprise move could come from the North East, who could pry Pogba away from the Red Devils.

And Waddle has urged Newcastle to test the waters with a move for the Frenchman.

Waddle told The Sun: “Paul Pogba’s out of contract, isn’t he?

“Now people might say about Newcastle — but money talks.

“If they sell the dream about what we’re going to win and achieve, it might.”

Unfortunately, for Waddle, Amanda Staveley admitted to The Chronicle: “You can’t have the world’s greatest players with a really terrible changing room and no medical resources.

“We’re going to invest, heavily, obviously. But we have to do it within the confines of the rules of the Premier League.”
