Newcastle are interested in signing Adrien Rabiot, who might assist Donny van de Beek end his Man United nightmare with a move to Juventus.

NEWCASTLE are apparently considering a January transfer for Juventus midfielder Adrien Rabiot, with Donny van de Beek perhaps joining him in Turin.

Following their £300 million takeover, the Magpies are prepared to splash the cash in the New Year, with the club possessing the wealthiest owners in world football.

Despite the fact that manager Steve Bruce is going to be fired, the club is drafting a list of potential newcomers.

According to Calciomercato, the Toon are interested in France international Rabiot.

Newcastle are reportedly interested in bringing the 26-year-old to St James’ Park during the winter transfer window.

Rabiot has been a regular for the Old Lady since joining from Paris Saint-Germain in 2019, but the Juve faithful have never been convinced of his quality.

According to reports, the Serie A heavyweights are willing to sell the player in order to sign Van de Beek from Manchester United.

Following his departure from Ajax, the 24-year-old Dutchman has struggled to establish himself at Old Trafford and is yet to earn a starting berth for the Red Devils.

Newcastle are rumoured to be interested in signing Barcelona centre-back Clement Lenglet in January. Rabiot isn’t the only high-profile player on their radar.

With Newcastle rumored to have made contact with Leicester, his French compatriot Wesley Fofana is also a possibility.

Timo Werner, a Chelsea striker, has also been mentioned, with German publications claiming that the club is in regular touch with his agency.

Meanwhile, Rio Ferdinand has urged Newcastle United to sign Raheem Sterling, Declan Rice, and Jesse Lingard as part of a core of English players.

“I’d be going to try and make like a mad couple of signings, like major, that I think would be gettable,” he added on his FIVE YouTube channel.

“People like Raheem Sterling would be on my radar.” I’d go ask Raheem Sterling the question if he wasn’t playing regularly. ‘What’s going on,’ I’d go ask Declan Rice.

“They’d be the top two on my list, and I’d go to any length to obtain them.” Then I’d aim to get players like Jesse Lingard, who is currently a member of Man United’s squad.’ ” Until you raise the question, it’s implausible. I’d go out there and collect replies from these types of players, then work my way down the list.”
