Naby Keita stuns Liverpool fans with a spectacular Atletico Madrid goal, claiming that he “only scores bangers.”

Naby Keita stunned Liverpool fans with a glorious goal in the Reds’ Champions League clash with Atletico Madrid on Tuesday evening off the back of his similar class strike against Crystal Palace

Naby Keita stunned Liverpool fans again with a wonderful finish against Atletico Madrid on Tuesday evening.

Liverpool squared off with Atletico Madrid on the third matchday of the Champions League, with both sides boasting an undefeated record.

With the score already 1-0 to Liverpool, the ball fell to Keita on the outside of the box, and he struck the ball with the outside of his boot, curling past a hapless Jan Oblak in the Atleti goal.

And it followed his similar spectacular finish on the volley at home to Crystal Palace in the Reds’ 3-0 Premier League triumph back in September.

Keita’s goal doubled Liverpool’s lead after Mohamed Salah weaved his way through the Spanish defence, and a touch from James Milner helped it home.

Atletico pulled it back to 2-2 before half-time, but Liverpool fans were quick to react to the Keita stunner on Twitter.

“I would scream and scream but my lungs won’t allow so please accept this tweet as me screaming because WHAT A SPECTACULAR GOAL,” one fan tweeted.

Another fan added: “That’s a certified thunderb****** from Naby! Pick that out.”

And a third tweeted: “Keita doesn’t need to get into the box does he? He just whips the thing in effortlessly every time.”

“Some decent performances from Naby recently, hopefully, that quality we paid for is coming through,” a fourth added.

A fifth also put: “NABY ONLY SCORES BANGERS”.

Liverpool last faced Atletico in the 19/20 Champions League Last 16.

And despite leading, Liverpool fell to the Spanish side after Marcos Llorente hit the then defending champions with a quick double in extra time.

Alvaro Morata confirmed the result when he found the net in the 121st minute, sparking Diego Simeone to go charging down the sideline.

Atleti were eventually dumped out the following round to RB Leipzig.

Liverpool have only beaten the Madrid-based side once, a 2-1 win in the Europa League in 2010.

Yossi Benayoun and Alberto Aquilani were the goal scorers that day.
