Mum is considering canceling the date because he made a farting joke, which many people agree with.
After making what she believes to be a dating faux pas, one woman has admitted that her date may be blocked.
She vented on Mumsnet about the message she received from the guy she’d been talking to.
In today’s dating world, things are certainly not easy.
People appear to be dumped, unmatched, or ghosted for the most inexplicable of reasons.
And after making what she believes to be a dating faux pas, one woman has admitted that her date may be blocked.
After a five-month hiatus, the woman revealed on Mumsnet that she has recently resumed dating.
But it appears that one man’s texting style has already put her off.
“I am not a newcomer to online dating,” she wrote on the site, “but I’ve only recently returned after a five-month hiatus.”
“I’ve been messaging someone for about 10 days, and he appears to be nice and normal (at least as far as you can tell at this point), but today he has something that has completely turned me off!
“He was just telling me about his day and how he’ll be eating the rest of a casserole he made last night for dinner, but it has too many onions in it’so it might get a little windy.'”
“I mean, seriously, it’s making me sick.”
“That’s done it for me, a switch has flicked in my head, and I don’t want to speak to him anymore,” she continued, expressing her disgust at the farting mention.
“Should I just block him?” says the narrator.
“Bit fussy IMHO,” one person said of the woman’s remarks.
“Tell me again, why is she single?” said another.
“It’s not like he talked about following through,” a third countered.
Others, on the other hand, admitted that they were on the same page as the poster.
“100% agree with this one,” one person wrote.
“To be fair, 10 days is too early to start casually referring to flatulence,” another added.
If you’re talking about it so early, it’s likely to become a major theme in any long-term relationship.
It’s only a matter of time before you’re farting at the dinner table.
“I believe she made the best decision.”
“It’s a slick and stinky slope,” a third agreed.
The remarks follow another Mumsnet post that made the news this week.
After her son made a ‘penis-shaped’ unicorn balloon animal, the mother couldn’t stop laughing.
