Morocco coach slams Chelsea star Hakim Ziyech for feigning injury.

Hakim Ziyech has been omitted from Morocco’s World Cup qualifying squad.

Vahid Halilhodzic, Morocco’s head coach, has criticized Chelsea striker Hakim Ziyech for reportedly faking an injury. Ziyech has been dismissed from Halilhodzic’s newest team following a “unacceptable” incident during the last international break.

Morocco has three critical World Cup qualifiers this month, but Ziyech will not be one of them.

The country begins its campaign by hosting Sudan on Thursday night, before traveling to Guinea the following week and hosting the rematch the following week.

Youssef En-Nesyri, Munir, Roman Saiss, and Achraf Hakimi are among Halilhodzic’s most entertaining players.

Given his clear pedigree in European football, Ziyech is usually the team’s star.

After his behavior during his last call-up, the 28-year-old will not be playing in Morocco’s forthcoming World Cup Qualifiers.

Ziyech is missing from Halilhodzic’s newest roster after fake injury and refusing to play off the bench owing to dissatisfaction with being a substitute, according to Halilhodzic.

“I have seen behavior that disappoints me for the first time in my coaching career,” he said.

“A player who claims to be injured and refuses to play a game, albeit a friendly. The medical team examined him and determined that he was fit to participate.

“In the second half, he refused to warm up because he was sad to be a substitute.

“That kind of behavior is unacceptable to me. With the national team, you can’t get away with anything. Either you’re completely there or you’re not.

Chelsea’s goal in the UEFA Super Cup encounter against Villarreal, which the Blues won on penalties, was Ziyech’s first of the season.

He hasn’t played in two of Chelsea’s three Premier League games thus far due to an injury sustained in the Super Cup.

Thomas Tuchel added to the attacking competition at Stamford Bridge this summer by signing Romelu Lukaku for a club-record £97.5 million.

Tuchel’s wide players have become more competitive as a result of the Belgian’s presence in the center of the attack.

Christian Pulisic, Kai Havertz, Timo Werner, and Mason Mount are all vying for a starting berth with Ziyech.

He’ll be able to use the following week to recharge his batteries ahead of the next stage of the Premier League season, given his absence from international action.

Halilhodzic’s decision to leave Ziyech out of his last team was brave, but it should serve as a learning experience if.
