As Mikel Arteta tries to rush through a transfer, Arsenal wants to sign ‘their own Jorginho.’

ARSENAL is putting in a lot of effort to improve their midfield options.

According to reports, Arsenal is interested in signing a player similar to Chelsea’s Jorginho.

Arsenal is said to be trying to rush the signing of Juventus star Arthur.

Arsenal are in desperate need of senior midfielders ahead of Sunday’s north London derby against Tottenham Hotspur.

Thomas Partey and Mohamed Elneny are both at the Africa Cup of Nations, so Arsenal will be without them.

Meanwhile, Granit Xhaka was sent off in the first leg of the Carabao Cup semi-final against Liverpool on Thursday, and will miss the next two games.

The only known central midfielder in the Gunners’ first-team squad is Albert Sambi Lokonga.

Bruno Guimaraes of Lyon and Georginio Wijnaldum of Paris Saint-Germain have both been linked with a move to the Emirates.

Guimaraes, on the other hand, appears to be too expensive this window, according to European football expert Julien Laurens, who claims Wijnaldum is not the type of player Mikel Arteta is looking for.

Arsenal are attempting to complete a loan deal for Arthur before 12 p.m. on Friday so that he can be registered for Sunday’s derby, according to Football.london.

Arteta is looking for a player like Arthur, according to Laurens.

He claims to be similar to Jorginho, the type of player that Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is looking for.

“They’re in desperate need of someone like Arthur.”

Laurens said on the Gab and Juls podcast that they need a Jorginho.

“As a holding midfielder, all you have to do is pass the ball and dictate the play.”

Gini’s game isn’t up to par.

“That’s not what [Partey and Xhaka] do; they can’t play in front of the back four because that’s not their profile.”

“At the moment, Wijnaldum is not the profile Arteta is looking for.

“The player’s profile is similar to that of Jorginho.

He isn’t quite as good, but you get the picture.

“I’m not sure if Arthur will sign, I’m not sure who will sign; they want someone on loan because Partey and Elneny will return, so there’s no point spending £30m-£40m now.”

Cedric Soares, Bukayo Saka, and Calum Chambers were all injured on Thursday for Arsenal.
