Jorginho has not been contacted by Juventus boss Maurizio Sarri over a proposed move to Turin this summer, according to the Chelsea star’s agent.
The 28-year-old has been the subject of fervent speculation linking him with a reunion with Sarri in Serie A. The duo worked closely together at Napoli, and later linked up again at Stamford Bridge.
But the Italian midfielder’s representative has insisted that no discussions have been held over a switch.
Joao Santos told Radio Kiss Kiss: ‘Sarri has never called Jorginho personally to talk about Juventus.
‘I know there’s talk in the papers, but we have never had direct contact with Sarri or even director of sport Fabio Paratici.
‘When the directors Paratici and Marina Granovskaia find an agreement, if they find an agreement, then and only then can I talk about the situation.
‘Everyone knows there is a very strong rapport between Sarri and Jorginho after five years working together, I’d be a hypocrite to deny that, but I also want to remind you that Jorginho has three years left on his Chelsea contract.’
Jorginho has endured a mixed spell at Chelsea since following Sarri to West London from Napoli in the summer of 2018.
The top flight’s resumption has seen the former Verona man struggle to start regularly under Frank Lampard, although the Blues manager had insisted Jorginho would play a key role in the top four chase.
The cultured star has made 44 appearances this season, scoring seven goals, but doubts remain over his long-term future at the club.
Chelsea initially splashed out £57million to recruit Jorginho two years ago and would likely face an uphill struggle to recoup a fee close to that figure.
