Manchester United are closing in on a deal with Real Madrid, according to Raphael Varane.

Raphael Varane appears to be on his way to Real Madrid from Manchester United in the summer transfer window.

The move of Raphael Varane to Manchester United is still continuing. However, the buzz surrounding the offer suggests that a deal for the 2018 World Cup winner will be reached. As a result, Express Sport will now dig into what Varane has stated regarding his future and a possible move to Manchester United.

Adidas and Manchester United have unveiled their official 2021/22 home jersey, which features a modern take on the club’s traditional designs.

Varane confirmed in 2011 that he had discussed a move to Manchester United with Sir Alex Ferguson.

He did explain, though, that Zinedine Zidane persuaded him to decline a move to the Theatre of Dreams.

“I requested Zidane to call me back because I was studying for my baccalaureate,” he explained.

“It was my laid-back personality that caused me to react in that way. To deal with so many things at such a young age, you must be carefree.

“But, to be honest, my mind was elsewhere after that call; it was difficult to concentrate on revising!”

“It was the strangest time of my life: I was preparing for my baccalaureate, the phone was ringing nonstop, I went to the Real facilities, I met Alex Ferguson… Consider this: I was taking examinations while also signing autographs for other pupils.

“It was strange. I’m quite proud of myself for passing.”

The Red Devils were extensively linked with a deal for Varane when Jose Mourinho took over in 2016.

He also conceded that the links were “flattering,” praising the Red Devils as a “great club.”

He replied, “Of course it’s flattering.” “Manchester United is an enormous club.

“However, once Madrid and I have agreed on my concept, there are no more questions to ask.

“I’ve always said I’m happy in Madrid.

“It’s difficult to say no to Jose Mourinho, but you have to consider the benefits and drawbacks. We’re guys, we have to make decisions, and that’s the way it is.”

Varane deflected inquiries about his future while on international duty with France at Euro 2020.

I’m not talking about my future right now; I’m concentrating on the selection, on “Brinkwire Summary News.”
