Man United’s website crashes shortly after Cristiano Ronaldo’s signing is announced.
Ronaldo will play for Manchester United again after a 12-year absence, but not everyone was able to read the statement declaring the deal.
After Manchester United confirmed a deal with Juventus to bring Cristiano Ronaldo back to Old Trafford, the club’s website crashed. United will pay £12.8 million for the Portuguese superstar after rapidly concluding a deal with Juve.

However, not everyone was able to see the announcement, as United’s website crashed as football fans from all over the world sought to read it.
Some users were greeted with a blank white page with the message “The requested URL could not be located.”
The enthusiasm surrounding Ronaldo’s sensational comeback to Manchester was the evident reason of the website’s troubles.
Within two hours of the deal’s announcement, the tweet had been ‘liked’ over one million times.
And United supporters reveled in their club’s misfortune, praising it as proof of Ronaldo’s clout.

The website is still down as of this writing, with users unable to access any pages and only receiving an error message.
