For the 48-year-old, this isn’t the first time he’s been put under duress. And, with a number of senior executives temporarily unemployed, rumors of firings is unlikely to fade.

United are currently committed to Solskjaer, according to Fabrizio Romano.

He did say, though, that if the 48-year-old fails to turn things around, the situation’might change.’

He stated, “Manchester United expects results to improve, but the club has no plans to replace Solskjaer.”

“I haven’t had any interaction with the other managers. They still believe he is the perfect person for the job.

“Manchester United are not panicking, and they understand that Solskjaer will need time to develop the team, to begin rebuilding the team’s identity with Cristiano, and to adjust to him as the new important player.”
