Man United are’screaming out for’ Abdoulaye Doucoure, who has been dubbed the finest player in the league by Everton.

Everton drew 1-1 with Manchester United on Saturday, thanks to Abdoulaye Doucoure’s performance.

It has been alleged that Manchester United are’screaming out for’ Abdoulaye Doucoure after the midfielder shone for Everton in a 1-1 draw at Old Trafford on Saturday. As United dropped points for the second consecutive game, Doucoure assisted Andros Townsend’s second-half equalizer.

As the two sides went toe-to-toe in Manchester, Doucoure dominated the show in the middle of the pitch, frequently showing up his United counterparts.

After joining the club from Watford in 2020, the 28-year-old is now in his second season with the Toffees.

Under Carlo Ancelotti’s management, he scored two goals and assisted on three others in 29 Premier League appearances last season.

However, after being utilized in a more aggressive role under new boss Rafa Benitez, Doucoure has reached a whole new level.

In Everton’s first seven games, the player has already scored twice and provided four assists.

Tony Cascarino, a former Republic of Ireland striker, has praised him and believes he is excellent for United.

On talkSPORT, Cascarino stated, “Look at United’s midfield and you say, that’s what they’re screaming out for – a Doucoure sort of player.”

“I can’t think of a finer midfielder in the Premier League right now than Doucoure, given how he’s performing in this advanced role.”

“He’s playing beautifully – he’s playing exceptionally well.”

Before this season, Doucoure was not recognized for his offensive abilities, as he spent much of his time at Vicarage Road and Goodison Park in a more defensive role.

Despite this, he has scored 39 goals in 165 Premier League games and could continue to thrive if given the chance to play higher up the pitch.

Before the start of the new season, Doucoure teased what was to come by discussing the new role Benitez had in mind for him.

“I had a deeper role last season – more defensive than at Watford,” Doucoure explained. “I had the same abilities as you, but I had to adjust.”

“I believe I will be more forward and attacking this season. The boss wants me to be more obnoxious.

“He outlined my strengths and what I need to do the first time we met. “Brinkwire Summary News” is a phrase we’ve used a lot on the practice field.
