Man United is sending out ‘concrete signals’ that they want to sign Sergej Milinkovic-Savic for a new fee.

The Red Devils’ desire to sign a central midfielder is well known.

After years of excellent performances for Serie A side Lazio, Sergej Milinkovic-Savic has become a wanted man in the world of football.

And, with Manchester United reportedly registering ‘concrete signals’ for his services, a move for the Serbian could become a reality, according to reports from Italy.

United will face stiff competition for his signature, with Juventus reportedly courting the Serbian midfielder, who is represented by ex-Chelsea player Mateja Kezman.

The star is valued at £58.4 million (€70 million) by Lazio, who have ruled out signing him for the time being because he is out of their financial reach.

The Rome-based club, on the other hand, has taken notice of United’s perceived interest.

According to, Ralf Rangnick’s side has sent out the most ‘concrete signals’ of any team interested in signing the former Genk midfielder, with United looking to bolster their midfield options.

According to the report, owner Claudio Lotito and Kezman have reached an “informal agreement” regarding a possible summer sale to United.

Since joining Lazio in 2015, Milinkovic-Savic has been a revelation, scoring 44 league goals and registering 37 assists in just 213 Serie A appearances.

At the halfway point of the season, he has seven goals and seven assists, which has drawn the attention of Europe’s top clubs.

Lazio, on the other hand, are unable to sell the 26-year-old due to the remaining two-and-a-half years on his contract.

Despite this, the midfielder, who was born in Spain, has hinted that he could leave this season.

“I read [the rumors]in one ear and out the other,” Milinkovic-Savic explained.

“When there was something concrete, the club refused to let me go, so I stayed, extended my contract, and we began a new cycle together.”

“They’re now two years away from the deadline.

We’ll see what happens in the summer, how the club is structured, and where we go from there.

“We’ll have to sit down and talk if there’s something.”

Given Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid’s interest, a move could happen with Paul Pogba’s contract expiring in six months.

However, a move for Milinkovic-Savic could be made, with United reportedly offering the French midfielder a £500,000-per-week contract.
