Man United and Arsenal have been dealt a transfer blow as Atletico Madrid enter the competition for RB Leipzig starlet Dominik Szoboszlai, who is 21 years old.

MANCHESTER UNITED and Arsenal may be on the verge of losing Dominik Szoboszlai, a brilliant youngster from RB Leipzig.

Atletico Madrid, a La Liga giant, has entered the competition to recruit the 21-year-old, and reports suggest they may be in first place.

If Szoboszlai does prefer a move to England, according to AS, United is a more likely Premier League destination than Arsenal.

Last year, the north London club attempted to move him to the Emirates, but he instead chose a five-year contract in Germany.

Any new offer would have to meet the player’s alleged release clause of €60 million (£51 million).

Fit-again Szoboszlai is said to be disgruntled at Red Bull Arena due to a lack of playing time.

In January, the Hungarian joined the Bundesliga squad from fellow Red Bull club Salzburg.

However, due to a long-term injury, he was unable to work for his new company until August of this year.

Leipzig is currently in fifth place in the German Bundesliga, with a squad loaded of attacking talent.

In midfield, Szoboszlai is up against Christopher Nkunku, Emil Forsberg, and Dani Olmo, to mention a few.

In terms of physicality and goal-scoring ability, the playmaker has been compared to Cristiano Ronaldo.

So far this season, he has a total of six goals and three assists for Leipzig.
