Lucas Torreira and Emiliano Martinez enjoyed a very happy meal after celebrating Arsenal’s FA Cup final win over Chelsea at Wembley.
Torreira took to Instagram to share an image of himself and goalkeeper Martinez picking up a takeaway from McDonald’s after securing the club’s 14th FA Cup triumph with a 2-1 victory over the Blues.
The pair were pictured posing alongside two members of staff while holding a brown takeaway bag from the famous fast-food outlet.
Arsenal’s trophy lift may have been an underwhelming affair without the presence of supporters inside the national stadium, but the Gunners made sure to celebrate elsewhere.
Arteta’s men were pictured enjoying jubilant scenes in the changing room after the game and on the team bus as they claimed London bragging rights.
A series of lengthy Instagram posts to Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s story showed boisterous players crammed into the aisle of their coach while others cracked open bottles of champagne around them.
Aubameyang was in high spirits as it was his performance that saw Arsenal not only add to the all-time record of FA Cup wins but secure a place in the Europa League next season.
The striker converted a first-half penalty he had won and then scored a superb second in the 67th minute to seal the win for the Gunners.
As for now, the players will have some time off to rest and recover before next season starts in September.
