Lionel Messi and PSG players are ‘locked in a car park’ after a brawl following their team’s loss to Rennes.

After fights erupted following PSG’s loss to Rennes this afternoon, Lionel Messi and his teammates were ‘locked in the car park.’

Following their 2-0 loss to Rennes, Lionel Messi and his Paris Saint-Germain teammates were detained in the car park this afternoon. Before the problems began, the Parisians were defeated for the first time in Ligue 1 this season.

According to CBS Sports Golazo, terrible events erupted during skirmishes near Roazhon Park, forcing a Rennes player to take shelter.

After the game, a video posted on Twitter showed supporters yelling and fighting as chaos ensued.

The event is the latest in a long series of French football controversies. Several police officers were hurt in the French capital last year as violence erupted in the aftermath of PSG’s Champions League final loss to Bayern Munich.

Tear gas was used to disperse the enraged mob at the time.

Gaetan Laborde converted Kamaldeen Sulemana’s superb cross to put Mauricio Pochettino’s side behind just before the break in Sunday’s game.

With a sweeping finish into the bottom corner in the early stages of the second session, Flavien Tait added to his tally.

Despite the fact that Pochettino was allowed to start his three superstar forwards, Messi, Neymar, and Kylian Mbappe, his side was defeated.

Following a consultation with the VAR official, Mbappe felt he had brought a goal back for the visitors in the second stanza, only to have his effort ruled out for offside.

Messi came the closest to scoring for PSG with a free-kick that ricocheted off the crossbar.

Mbappe blasted a first-half shot high over the bar, before Neymar missed a volley and Idrissa Gueye fired an effort wide for the visitors.

Despite the loss, PSG are still in first place in Ligue 1 after winning their opening eight games.

The Parisians are six points ahead of second-placed Lens, who have won five games and drawn three this season.

Pochettino remarked after the game, “We are sad because we performed extremely well for 25-30 minutes.”

“We were unable to capitalize on the opportunities we provided. We are dissatisfied, but we must keep working.

“Of course, we’ve just come out of a physically trying time. “Brinkwire Summary News” is something we need to have.
