Lewis Hamilton explains why the rivalry between Max Verstappen and Nico Rosberg is “more pleasant.”

This season’s competition between Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen is said to be fun for him.

Lewis Hamilton thinks that he enjoys his battle with Red Bull’s Max Verstappen more than he enjoyed his famed feud with Nico Rosberg while they were teammates at Mercedes. If he hopes to reduce the gap on the Dutchman this season and win a record-breaking eighth Drivers’ Championship, the seven-time world champion has his work cut out for him.

Between 2013 and 2016, Rosberg and Hamilton were teammates, claiming 54 of the 78 available race wins as the pair dominated the sport.

During a period when tensions were high, their fierce competition resulted in a number of fights on and off the track.

Rosberg ultimately won the world title in 2016, after which he retired from Formula One. He is the only man to have won the world title in the last seven years, aside from Hamilton.

“[The rivalry] is lot more enjoyable,” Hamilton said on the Formula One YouTube channel. When you’re experiencing an internal conflict, I believe it’s important to remember that this sport is unlike any other, right?

“If you look at football, you’ll notice that everyone is working toward the same goal.

“This sport is a little confusing because you have to drive two championships: a team championship in which the two drivers are recruited to score points for the team to win the championship, and that is the priority.

“Then there are the two drivers who are only interested in winning the title for themselves. So you’ve got this tense situation.

“It’s a lot different working against the individual on the other team than working with that person and fighting another squad.

“I believe that this improves racing. When it’s a team against team championship rather than an internal one, it’s more exciting.”

The battle for the title has been thrilling thus far this season, with Verstappen leading by 32 points coming into this weekend’s British Grand Prix.

Red Bull has won four of the last five races, with the Dutchman finishing on the podium on four of those occasions.

Toto Wolff, the Mercedes team leader, still believes Hamilton can win a record-breaking eighth world championship, despite the fact that it is now ‘against the odds.’

“Those guys are a little bit ahead at the moment,” Hamilton remarked. As a result, we’ve got a huge task ahead of us.”Brinkwire Summary News.”
