F1 is one of the most lucrative sports in the world, but what are the top ten incomes in the sport, and where do Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen rank?

Lewis Hamilton, predictably, leads the top ten Formula One drivers in overall earnings, with Max Verstappen in second. Express Sport has compiled a comprehensive list, which includes some unexpected names.

The seven-time Formula One world champion is expected to earn $62 million, far more than his nearest opponent, Verstappen, who is expected to earn $42 million.

Following his return to the competition, Fernando Alonso is third with a hefty $25 million pay for Alpine.

Sergio Perez and Sebastian Vettel are the next two drivers, with $18 million and $15 million, respectively.

Charles Leclerc of Ferrari sits sixth on the rankings, with teammate Carlos Sainz in tenth.

Lando Norris, a former McLaren teammate, is likely to earn roughly $9 million with bonuses, just ahead of the Spaniard.

The Briton is third, behind teammate Daniel Ricciardo and Mercedes’ Valtteri Bottas.

All of that could alter next year if Norris signs a new deal with McLaren.

Before the annual summer break, Formula One returns this weekend with the Hungarian Grand Prix.
