As Rangers compete for the Premiership crown this season, LEON BALOGUN claims goalkeeper Allan McGregor desires the title more than anyone.
As he led Steven Gerrard’s side to victory at the Old Firm on Saturday, the 38-year old was named Man of the Match.
At Ibrox, a Callum McGregor own goal made the difference and Balogun was delighted with the success of the Light Blues keeper.
“Balogun said, “He’s a great character, you might say that. He’s got a big voice, and sometimes it seems like we’ve got to slow him down a bit. But I personally think it’s something that benefits the team at the same time.
“He’s the guy who, because of tradition, needs to win the league the most with this team. Today his contribution was enormous.
“He even tried to cheat a little bit by saying he didn’t touch the shot he put on the post. But he robbed himself of some of the credit because it was a great save.”
