In the FA Cup third round against Premier League side Tottenham, Jamie Carragher will sponsor non-league Merseyside side Marine. The Northern Premier League Division One North West club has reported that after a previous sponsor dropped out, former Liverpool and England defender Carragher’s JC23 Foundation has stepped in.
Ahead of Sunday’s game at Crosby’s Marine Travel Arena, the foundation will fund the benches – one of which will be staffed by Jose Mourinho – and the warm-up jerseys. We are now at 4,700 spectators – just 1,300 away from our attendance record! We are pleased to announce that @Carra23, the legend of Liverpool, has stepped in to replace the missed sponsorship arrangement.
