Inter Milan and Chelsea have reached a £97 million ‘agreement,’ according to Romelu Lukaku.
Despite remarks he made two months ago, Romelu Lukaku is close to joining Chelsea.
Romelu Lukaku stated in June that he is content at Inter Milan and that he intends to continue with the Serie A club. Chelsea and Inter have apparently agreed on a £97 million fee to re-sign Lukaku. The Belgian is likely to be given a second shot at Stamford Bridge to show he can be a star.
Lukaku has had a tremendously successful season in Italy.
Inter’s striker has scored 64 goals in all competitions since joining from Manchester United in 2019.
Last season, Lukaku helped Inter to their first Serie A title in ten years.
Antonio Conte stated he felt pleased in Italy even after stepping down as head coach.
Lukaku told VTM, “Yes, I’m staying.”
“I’m enjoying myself at Inter.”
Lukaku was pleased with his conversations with former Lazio manager Simone Inzaghi before of his official selection as Conte’s replacement.
“I’ve already had touch with the man who normally becomes our new manager,” Lukaku added.

“Perhaps I shouldn’t say it just yet… However, it was a pretty positive discussion. There’s also the prospect of repeating the feat [winning the league].”
Lukaku’s time at Inter, on the other hand, appears to be coming to an end.
Chelsea and Inter have agreed on a fee of roughly £97 million (€115 million), according to Sky Italy.
There will be no Chelsea players moving in the opposite direction, so it will be a straight cash deal.
As a deal nears completion, Lukaku will miss Inter’s friendly against Parma on Sunday.
Lukaku is expected to earn little over £10 million (€12 million) every season, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.
When asked about Chelsea’s interest in Lukaku on Wednesday, Thomas Tuchel remained tight-lipped.
“I won’t talk about players who aren’t in my squad,” Tuchel told reporters.
“Romelu Lukaku is a terrific player, but he is an Inter player, and I will not speak about him.”
The German coach, on the other hand, revealed that he wants to buy a striker this summer.
“With the departure of Olivier Giroud, we could use a.”Brinkwire Summary News,” Tuchel remarked.
