In the midst of mixed results, Manchester United’s board believes Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Cristiano Ronaldo require more time.

Cristiano Ronaldo is managed by Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer at Old Trafford.

Manchester United are not in a rush to remove Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, according to reports, and believe he needs more time with Cristiano Ronaldo to make him fully fit. Since returning from Juventus, the Portugal international has scored five goals in six appearances. Behind the scenes, however, not everything is as it seems.

During Ronaldo’s brief return to the Theatre of Dreams, United have seen the best of him, with the 36-year-old continuing to deliver with unsettling consistency.

While that may be the case, Express Sport has learned that the Portugal international was furious after being benched against Everton on Saturday.

United ultimately hauled on their talisman, Edinson Cavani, but it was too late as the Toffees dug in for a point.

It was again another frustrating day at the office for Solskjaer.

United have already lost four of their previous six games, with some fans wishing for Antonio Conte and Zinedine Zidane, who are both unemployed after leaving Inter Milan and Real Madrid, respectively, in the summer.

However, speaking on his YouTube channel, Fabrizio Romano stated that United have no intentions to fire Solskjaer just yet.

“There isn’t any communication with the other managers.” They still believe he is the perfect person for the job.

“Manchester United are not panicking, and they understand that Solskjaer will need time to develop the team, to begin rebuilding the team’s identity with Cristiano, and to adjust to him as the new important player.”

“They also understand that Sancho and Varane will need time to acclimate to life in the Premier League, and Solskjaer is the manager they want.”

Romano did admit, though, that the scenario might alter if Solskjaer is unable to properly engage his United players.

“The managerial scenario may alter if the crisis worsens in the following weeks,” he warned.

DON’T MISSSRonaldo could prevent Man Utd from appointing Conte.

Conte’s comments about Nuno’s work at Tottenham have sparked controversy.

Arsenal made the proper decision to sell Guendouzi based on his recent actions.

Solskjaer was only given a three-year contract by United in the summer, shortly after they lost to Villarreal in the Europa League final.
