In January, Tottenham could lose two players worth a total of £81 million.

Despite signing for a combined fee of £81 million, Tanguy Ndombele and Steven Bergwijn are reportedly free to leave Tottenham Hotspur this month.

During the January transfer window, Tottenham Hotspur could lose two players worth a total of £81 million.

As Antonio Conte looks to overhaul his playing squad, the club is said to be happy for both Tanguy Ndombele and Steven Bergwijn to leave this month.

Ndombele arrived from Lyon for a club-record £54 million in the summer of 2019, while Bergwijn joined from PSV for £27 million six months later.

Spurs would lose two players worth £81 million if they both left this month.

According to The Athletic, Ndombele is hoping to leave the club during the current transfer window after previously telling Spurs that he wanted to leave in the summer.

The club has come to the conclusion that selling the French midfielder is the best option for all parties involved.

When Ndombele was substituted during Sunday’s FA Cup third round win over Morecambe, he was booed off the pitch by his own fans.

Although Conte has included Ndombele in every matchday squad since taking over as manager, it was only his second start.

The only stumbling block to a permanent departure is Ndombele’s contract, which has three-and-a-half years left on a £200,000-per-week deal.

Barcelona has previously expressed interest in him, and Ndombele is understood to want to join a Champions League club.

This month, the 25-year-old’s most likely outcome is a loan move.

In the case of Bergwijn, according to Fabrizio Romano, Spurs have decided to sell the Dutch winger this month, with a number of clubs interested.

After Ajax became one of the first clubs to make an offer for him, he is expected to return to the Netherlands, but nothing has been finalized as of yet.

Bergwijn has only played 100 minutes of football since Conte took over and is currently out with a calf injury.
