In Everton’s triumph, Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has four players who stand out.
On Saturday, Manchester United thrashed Everton 4-0 in a pre-season friendly match.
Manchester United warmed up for the start of the Premier League season with a 4-0 thrashing of Everton on Saturday. Mason Greenwood scored the game’s first goal, followed by goals from Harry Maguire, Bruno Fernandes, and Diogo Dalot. As a result, Express Sport will now focus on the four players that stood out.
Greenwood had a strong finish to the season, netting six goals in his final eight games in all competitions.
And he appears to be regaining his confidence as he embarks on this campaign.
Greenwood scored the game’s first goal with a tidy finish from close range, taking advantage of a mix-up involving Jordan Pickford.
And he was on the verge of adding a second, only to be denied by some excellent defense from the Toffees.
Greenwood was expected to struggle after the arrival of Jadon Sancho, but he appears to be a re-energized presence in the team, playing on the right wing.

United supporters haven’t seen much of Fernandes in person.
The Portugal international was signed from Sporting Lisbon in the January transfer window of 2020 and has been totally mesmerizing ever since.
And now that he’s playing in front of Old Trafford fans, with the coronavirus restrictions gone for the time being, he appears completely at ease.
Every touch from Fernandes drew applause from the crowd, and the 26-year-old did not disappoint, with his stunning free kick being a highlight.
They’ll now be hoping he can lead them to Premier League glory, something they haven’t enjoyed since Sir Alex Ferguson retired in 2013.
