Gwrych Castle secrets, from hidden heating to spooky ghost stories, are revealed on I’m A Celeb.

The ruins of Gwrych Castle, featured on I’m A Celebrity, in Wales provide a stark contrast to the jungle.

The castle has plenty of features viewers don’t see, from ghosts haunting the building to rumors of hot water.

ITV’s I’m a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here! is back on our screens, and viewers are gearing up to see a new batch of celebrities take on the show’s various and grueling challenges.

Apart from bushtucker trials, it appears that being in the castle – which has a spooky history – presents some difficulties.

There are some positives as well, with viewers insisting that the castle has a secret heating system as well as hot water, though there are still challenges to overcome.

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, I’m A Celeb will return to Wales this year, with the celebs usually jetting off to the Australian jungle to put themselves to the ultimate test.

Consider yourself lucky if you thought the Bushtucker trials were difficult.

Several incidents of spooky activity and a haunted presence have tainted Gwrych Castle’s reputation throughout its history.

According to legend, the 19th century fortress is haunted by the spirits of its former inhabitants, including a betrayed Countess who patrols the castle at night in search of vengeance.

Visitors to the castle have reported terrifying shadowy figures in the windows, chilling screams in the darkness, and a floating woman in white. These are just a few of the terrifying incidents that incoming celebrities will have to endure.

Staff refused to stay overnight in the castle and refused to work certain “creepy areas” during filming, according to rumors from last year’s series.

A volunteer was thrown up the stairwell where a butler had died in September 2018.

“I felt something propel me up the top three stairs after the handrail gave way to nothingness,” she said on the castle’s website.

“Seconds later, my colleague informed me that the butler had died on the same stairwell.”

“I hadn’t told her!”

In the dark, a Duty Manager felt a terrifying presence approaching him, but when he flashed a light, no one was visible.

“I was terrified as I heard the chain on the main gates rattle slightly and then footsteps approaching me,” he recalled.

“The footsteps got closer and closer…I couldn’t catch my breath.”
