Glasgow Warriors’ Adam Hastings to leave Scotstoun at the end of the season for Gloucester, club confirms club

Glasgow Warriors have announced Gloucester Rugby will be joined by fly-half Adam Hastings.

Hastings’ contract expires in the summer, and after initially beginning his career with Bath, it is thought that the player is keen to play in the Premiership.

Hastings is the new Scot to leave Scotstoun in recent years for the south and for France. Similar moves have also been made by Jonny Gray, Finn Russell and Stuart Hogg.

He is reportedly recovering from a shoulder injury suffered in October’s Scotland win over Wales.

The opportunity to return to the English Premiership and play for a club like Gloucester has always been an ambition of mine, Hastings told the Warriors’ website. It was an incredibly difficult choice, however, as Glasgow made a very good offer and I absolutely love being at the club and here with the lads.

Since I came here in 2017, I’m still really enjoying being at the Warriors and have evolved as a player and person.

“I’m extremely focused on my rehab to get back as soon as possible and can’t wait to pull on a Glasgow jersey by the end of the season, hopefully in front of a full Scotstoun.”
