Four Manchester United players are set to leave in January if Ole Gunnar Solskjaer does not return.

The departure of Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will make some players nervous about their future.

The sacking of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer on Sunday evening sparked a flurry of speculation about who might replace him as Manchester United manager.

Many out-of-favor players will be relieved by the Norwegian’s departure as they seek game time, while some of his fans will be resentful of the decision to fire him.

Four of Solskjaer’s favourites could be sold, according to Express Sport.

Since joining United for £47 million from Shakhtar Donetsk in 2018, Fred has spent almost all of his time under Solskjaer.

The Brazilian has divided opinion at United after signing a five-year contract.

This season, however, he has come under fire for his performances, with many United supporters clamoring for a replacement.

Fred could be sold to fund a move for others, as Mauricio Pochettino or Erik ten Hag are likely to prefer players with a different profile.

Despite being thrown into action at the age of 20, Wan-Bissaka made his Premier League debut in February 2018 for Crystal Palace.

He was named Player of the Year the following season and was called up to the England under-21 side as a result.

The highly-coveted youngster was signed by Solskjaer’s transfer team for a fee of £45 million, and his defensive prowess was revealed.

However, in a team as good as United’s, his lack of attacking capabilities have been highlighted, and if they are to improve their attacking output, they need a more attacking full-back.

He could be annexed as a result of his recent underwhelming performances.

Since Solskjaer took over at United, Lindelof has been a mainstay in the team.

He has formed a long-term partnership with Harry Maguire, missing just 15 league games since the start of the 2019-20 season.

The success of the aforementioned partnership is debatable, but it has left United trophy-less during Solskjaer’s tenure.

With Axel Tuanzebe set to return, Lindelof could be sold to fund a move to a world-class center-back.

Matic, another key player under Solskjaer, could be sold in January to make room for a new midfielder.

Under Solskjaer, the midfielder has made more than 50 Premier League appearances, as well as a few in other competitions.
