Four Barcelona players could prevent Adama Traore from joining Tottenham.

Four Barcelona players may try to stop Adama Traore from joining Tottenham.

Adama Traore has been linked with Tottenham Hotspur on numerous occasions.

Adama Traore, who has been linked with a move to Tottenham Hotspur, is reportedly being considered for a return to Barcelona.

The Wolverhampton striker was developed and nurtured in Catalan club La Masia’s infamous youth system, but he only made four senior appearances before being sold to Aston Villa.

Traore has bolstered his reputation at Wolves with his ferocious speed, incredible dribbling skills, and ability to almost single-handedly drive his team up the pitch after a frustrating spell at Villa Park and Middlesbrough.

Despite the fact that his end product has left him this season, the Spanish international continues to pique the interest of Premier League and European clubs.

Nuno Espirito-Santo, the former Tottenham manager, wanted to sign his former player last summer, and Antonio Conte is said to be a huge fan of the dynamic forward.

According to SPORT, if Ousmane Dembele leaves Wolves, Xavi’s side could make a move for him.

Barcelona has a great working relationship with super-agent Jorge Mendes, who has helped Wolves with a number of transfer deals since 2016.

Over the last couple of seasons, Mendes’ productive synergy with the Catalans allowed the Premier League side to quickly seal deals for Nelson Semedo and Franciso Trincao from the La Liga giants.

Traore is reportedly keen on a return to his boyhood club, and the Midlanders could be on their way to repaying the favor.

Traore is thought to have maintained contact with Jordi Alba, Sergio Busquets, Sergi Roberto, and £55 million signing Ferran Torres of Barcelona.

Traore’s preference for playing on the right side of the field makes him a near-perfect Dembele replacement.

With his contract at the Nou Camp set to expire at the end of the season, the Frenchman’s days at the club appear to be numbered.

According to Spanish publication SPORT, the striker’s agent turned down a new contract offer from the club just before the New Year.

Dembele’s time at the Nou Camp appears to be coming to an end, as negotiations between the two parties appear to have broken down.

The World Cup winner is now free to negotiate pre-contract agreements with interested clubs and has been linked with a number of Premier League and European teams.

Willing to put in the effort.
