Every irrational word After biting Evander Holyfield’s ear, Mike Tyson gave an interview.
Nearly 24 years after their previous fight, Mike Tyson and Evander Holyfield are poised to fight for the third time.
Mike Tyson and Evander Holyfield are getting closer to a surprising trilogy exhibition bout that will rekindle an old rivalry between the two great heavyweights. Following a contentious conclusion to their first fight, in which Iron Mike won by TKO, the two met again in 1997 in a rematch dubbed “the Sound and the Fury.”
That would soon change, though, after the fight devolved into chaos and Tyson was disqualified for biting Holyfield’s ear.
Tensions rose in the second round when Holyfield slipped beneath Tyson’s right hand and accidentally head-butted his opponent.
As Tyson became crimson, the Baddest Man on the Planet was cut from the clash just above his right eye.
From the first fight, when he complained to the referee about Holyfield’s use of his head, he was enraged by his opponent’s physical style.

As the two combatants embraced in the third round, Tyson bit down on Holyfield’s ear and spat it out onto the canvas.
As the referee took time out to puzzle together what had just happened, Holyfield was understandably enraged and clearly in pain.
Mills Lane was ready to disqualify Tyson right then, but he opted to let the fight go on until a second bite terminated the bout.
As security was forced to come in and intercede, Tyson went on a rampage at Holyfield and his corner.
When Tyson had finally calmed down and Holyfield had exited the ring, he gave one of the most bizarre interviews in the sport’s history…
“In the first round, he butted me, and then in the second round, he butted me again.
“I was watching him as soon as he butted me; he stared right at me and continued going for it, coming down and up and crashing into me.
“I don’t know what I’m going to do because no one warned him or took any points away from him. This is my job, and I’m not going to keep getting butted like that.
“I got chilly in the ring because this guy keeps butting and cutting me, and I have to retaliate.”
“I don’t recall what I told the referee,” Tyson said when asked what he told the official.Brinkwire Summary News”.
