Emma Raducanu is helping to shape the future of British women’s tennis and building her legacy after winning the US Open.
EMMA RADUCANU will play a key part in continuing her legacy and ensuring the future of women’s tennis in the United Kingdom.
More than nine million viewers saw Raducanu become Queen of New York after Amazon Prime Video sold the TV rights to last month’s US Open final to Channel 4 for more than £1 million.
The TV streaming behemoths will not pocket the money, instead investing it in the development of future sports stars.
And the 18-year-old from Kent will meet with executives from television networks to discuss where the show will go and how tennis and indigenous talent may benefit.
“Emma has already expressed interest in getting engaged,” stated Alex Green, MD of Amazon Prime Video.
“She is very aware of her status as a role model. And she has the potential to have a long-term positive impact, particularly on young girls who are considering taking up sports seriously.
“We’re just getting started, and we want to have the biggest impact we can, especially for young women’s tennis in this country.”
“Would we be able to track down the next Emma Raducanu?” We’d be delighted to. It’s critical to have these role models for other girls and boys to look up to.

“It was the biggest tennis tournament we’ve ever had.” In the United Kingdom, there is a whole new surge of interest in women’s tennis, which is terrific.” Andy Murray said the LTA was wasting his legacy during the 2019 Australian Open, when it appeared he may retire before undergoing a career-saving hip op.
Green, on the other hand, indicated such would not be the case this time, emphasizing, “We don’t want to see the money just go into some pot.”
“We’ll be in charge, and we’ll make a very deliberate judgment about what matters most.”
“Actually, it’s a moment we can’t afford to waste. That is something I agree with.
“Those who have followed British tennis for a long time are aware of our numerous setbacks.
“This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.” This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for the United Kingdom.
“I believe we should take advantage of it.” It’s fantastic to be able to help with that.”
