Eddie Hearn retaliates against Frank Warren over the ‘breach’ of the Anthony Joshua-Tyson Fury pact.

Eddie Hearn enraged Frank Warren by confirming that Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury had finally agreed to a two-fight deal.

When reporting that both Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury had finally signed their two-fight pact, Frank Warren claimed his competitor had broken an agreement. Eddie Hearn has defended his corner. The deal was eventually finalized by all parties last weekend, according to the Matchroom CEO, and the full attention is now on finding a venue for the undisputed heavyweight world title, which seems sure to land in the Middle East this summer.

Last week, Fury gave a series of interviews in which he failed to hype the bout and expressed doubts that it would happen anytime soon, causing alarm among boxing fans.

But now that both world champions have signed contracts, Hearn, Warren, and Bob Arum are looking for a fight location.

If either fighter is dissatisfied with the arrangements, they can still leave the table, though this currently appears improbable.

Following the revelation, Warren wasted no time in slamming Hearn, claiming that he had broken a deal between the promoters.

“Everyone agreed that no announcements would be made unless they were joint announcements, and that came out of nowhere yesterday,” Warren told talkSPORT.

“We’re all upset, but it’s out there now, and there’s nothing we can do about it.”

“However, we still have a long way to go in terms of venue selection. We’re looking at a couple of places right now, and that’s where we’re at.

“When they get in the ring, I believe it will happen. We still have a long way to go. But, in order for this to function, everyone must be on the same page.

“Right now, we’re all working together to find a venue.”

Hearn has now taken the opportunity to explain his actions, putting to rest any doubts about why he announced the contracts had been signed.

“We didn’t want to make a huge formal announcement and a fuss, so yesterday’s interview, not announcement, interview with ESPN was,” he told iFL TV.

“However, I wanted to inform everyone. I spoke with Fury’s crew, who were delighted to inform everyone that everyone had signed since it was wonderful news.

“It’s referred to as momentum or excitement. “Brinkwire Summary News” is one of them.
