On Saturday, Dillian Whyte will be given a second chance to redeem himself after losing to Alexander Povetkin in 2020. By defeating the Russian at the second attempt, the British hopes to revive his world championship shot ambitions.

In the first fight, Whyte was knocked out by Povetkin in August 2020.

The Brit dominated the battle from start to finish, knocking down Povetkin twice in the early rounds.

But a powerful left uppercut by the Russian clinched Povetkin’s dramatic victory and halted Whyte’s momentum.

Since his first professional setback to Anthony Joshua, Whyte had won his past 11 fights.

If Whyte beat Povetkin, he was expected to get a mandatory match against Tyson Fury.

However, the loss has allowed Fury and Joshua to agree on their own bout, and Whyte will now have to fight Povetkin again.

However, Povetkin, 41, has only lost two of his previous 39 fights.

Joshua and boxing superstar Wladimir Klitschko were his only losses.

In the United Kingdom, Sky Sports Box Office will exclusively broadcast Whyte vs Povetkin.

It’s a pay-per-view event that will set you back £19.95, so you won’t be able to watch it for free.

Outside of the UK, however, viewers will be able to watch the bout live on DAZN.

Subscribers in select countries, including Canada, can get a free trial of DAZN.

The undercard will begin at 6 p.m. on Saturday, March 27.

At around 10.30 p.m., Whyte and Povetkin are due to make their ring walks.

The pay-per-view event will be rebroadcast the next day at 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.

There will also be six undercard fights, one of which will feature Campbell Hatton, who is 19 years old.
