Deveraux family from Hollyoaks – health issues, famous sibling, and co-star connection

Martine Deveraux and her family have brought plenty of drama to Hollyoaks village over the years, but what do the actors who play the characters do when the cameras aren’t rolling?

For many years, fans of Hollyoaks have been entertained by the Deveraux family.

Hundreds of episodes have been filled with drama, tension, and betrayal thanks to the diverse and bold characters of this dynamic group.

Following the discovery of Lisa Loveday’s body, fans will be left on the edge of their seats in upcoming scenes.

To make matters worse, Celeste Faroe is planning to protect her killer brother Toby while framing Mitchell Deveraux for his cousin’s murder.

While some characters remain in the Hollyoaks villages, others have moved on to new adventures.

Brinkwire has taken a look inside the Deveraux family’s real lives, which include Hollywood success, famous relatives, and explosive race feuds.

In June 2020, Hollyoaks was engulfed in a racist scandal after actress Rachel Adedeji, who played Lisa Loveday in the serial drama, slammed Channel 4’s Black Lives Matter social media post and podcast.

In response to the death of George Floyd in the United States, the soap went silent for 24 hours on its platforms.

Rachel, 30, described the show’s stance as “performative and disingenuous,” adding that “systematic changes must be implemented.”

She made a series of shocking allegations about backstage incidents, including a lack of diversity in the directing team and shocking slurs from a senior production member, which were backed up by other cast members.

“Hollyoaks has been deeply shocked and saddened by issues that have been brought to our attention over the weekend,” the soap said in a statement.

“Lime Pictures strives to have zero tolerance for racism or any other form of discrimination in all of its shows, but it is clear that we still have work to do.”

After four years as Lisa Loveday, Rachel decided to leave the show.

“It had always been our intention for Rachel to leave the show after a period of time,” a spokesman for the star insisted at the time.

“She enjoyed her time on Hollyoaks, and the exit storyline was discussed openly with the producers and her in a collaborative format.”

Price Slice manager Martine Deveraux was played by actress Kelle Bryan on Hollyoaks.

The protagonist’s character is currently preparing to do so.
