Desmond Howard Predicts Georgia vs. Alabama in the National Championship Game (Exclusive).

The Georgia Bulldogs take on the Alabama Crimson Tide in the College Football Playoff National Championship game tonight, bringing the 2021 college football season to a close.

The two teams met in the SEC Championship game in December, with Alabama winning 41-24.

Will Alabama win Round 2 or will it be Georgia’s turn to shine? PopCulture.com spoke with Desmond Howard, a college football legend and analyst for ESPN’s College Football Gameday, who believes the game will be memorable.

Howard told PopCulture, “I think it’ll be extremely competitive.”

“With Alabama winning the SEC championship game, you have to wonder what they change? What they tweak? Things that they can do differently? And, obviously, Georgia, the team that came up short in the SCC championship game, they’re going to have to really tweak some stuff, figure out what they need to do differently.”

“Can they do anything?”

Howard went on to say that one of the “biggest differences” in tonight’s game will be one of the “biggest differences” in the game.

“Alabama will be without John Metchie III, who is an excellent offensive weapon for [Alabama offensive coordinator] Bill O’Brien,” Howard said.

“As a result, they won’t have him, and they’ll have to find someone to try to replace him or his output.”

Because Metchie is impossible to replace.

That was the caliber of player he was.

And how will Georgia approach Alabama’s offense differently? Don’t forget, Georgia only allows less than eight points per game going into that game.”

Alabama has won six national titles and eight SEC championships since Nick Saban arrived in 2007.

With the exception of one year (2010), Alabama has won at least 11 games every year since 2008.

Georgia is attempting to win its first national title since 1980.

For the second consecutive year, the Bulldogs are in the national championship game.

“There was no doubt in anyone’s mind going into the SEC championship game, as you know, as far as Georgia fans, players, and staff were concerned,” Howard said.

“This was the group.”

This team was put together with the goal of defeating Alabama.

So you’re looking at this game, as if it’s the only game that could be the Listerine, because that was such a huge letdown for anyone and everyone associated with the red and black.
