DANI CEBALLOS has dropped a huge hint he will move to Arsenal this summer after saying “see you soon” to Joe Willock, complete with a wink emoji.
The Real Madrid midfielder, 24, became a key cog in the Gunners midfield during his loan spell last season.
After a slow start, Ceballos found his feet in the Premier League and kept the likes of Lucas Torreira out of the starting XI.
As yet, Arsenal have been unable to make his loan move permanent, with Mikel Arteta thought to be keen to make it happen.
But the player himself has suggested he’s coming back to the Emirates after a cryptic hint slipped in to a birthday message for pal Willock.
Sharing a picture of himself with Willock in training, Ceballos wrote, “Happy birthday little brother. See you soon”, complete with a wink emoji.
Arsenal and Real Betis are both keen on signing Ceballos this summer.
And the midfielder himself is desperate to leave Madrid with his first-team chances limited at the Bernabeu having been frozen out by Zinedine Zidane before his loan move to the Emirates.
With the 2020-21 season culminating in Euro 2021 next summer, Ceballos will be desperate to play as often as possible to earn a spot in Spain’s squad.
Meanwhile, Arsenal are considering a swap deal with Juventus, according to reports.
In the potential move, Alexandre Lacazette would move to Italy, with Federico Bernardeschi heading to the Emirates.
Sokratis Papastathopoulos is said to have asked the Gunners to rip up his contract so he can join Napoli.
And Gabriel Magalhaes’ proposed move to Arsenal has moved a step closer with the Lille centre-back preparing to sign a five-year deal.
