Crystal Palace 2-1 Oxford: Eagles come from behind to win

Crystal Palace started off their pre-season with a 2-1 victory over Oxford United after coming from behind.

Cameron Brannagan opened the scoring for the visitors 13 minutes into the game after an impressive team-move in which the midfielder tucked away after starting the move.

Crystal Palace came out firing in the second-half and were awarded an early penalty after a challenge from John Mousinho on Wilfried Zaha.

Jeffrey Schlupp stepped up to take the penalty, though it was well saved by goalkeeper Jack Stevens.

Oxford still didn’t hold onto the lead for too much longer as Zaha was able to get away from Mousinho this time and tuck the ball into the back of the net.

Palace were ahead just three minutes later when James McArthur placed the ball home after a deflected cross by Andros Townsend.
