In Portugal’s 5-0 World Cup Qualifying group game triumph against Luxembourg, the iconic attacker scored his latest hat-trick.
Bernardo Silva of Manchester City won the penalty kick after jinxing inside two Luxembourg defenders and was tripped in the process.
Ronaldo scored the game’s first goal from the penalty spot, slamming the ball into the net.
Portugal was granted a second penalty five minutes later, this time by Ronaldo himself.
Anthony Moris, the goalkeeper, tripped the 36-year-old inside the penalty area.
The penalty was converted by Ronaldo, but the referee strangely snatched the ball back and made him retake it.

To Ronaldo’s surprise, the Luxembourg goalkeeper made a brilliant reactive stop to deny him from an overhead kick.
However, a hat-trick for Ronaldo was unavoidable.
He peeled off his marker from a free-kick with just three minutes to go and headed the ball into the back of the net, securing his 58th career match ball.
With his 10th hat-trick for Portugal, Ronaldo has equaled Sven Rydell’s near-century international hat-trick record of nine.
He’s also extended his lead as the all-time hat-trick goal scorer in the twenty-first century.
Rival Messi is five points behind on 53, while Luis Suarez is 29 points down.
Robert Lewandowski of Bayern Munich, one of the favorites to win the Ballon d’Or this year, is three goals behind Suarez.
And the Poland international has already scored a hat-trick in the Bundesliga this season, against Hertha Berlin.
