Cristiano Ronaldo and Manchester United’s Bruno Fernandes may reach an agreement on a new signing.

Cristiano Ronaldo’s transfer to Manchester United is expected to be completed within the next 48 hours.

After a fee with Juventus was negotiated on Friday, Cristiano Ronaldo will be Manchester United’s next summer signing. The Portugal international spent the previous six years of his career at Old Trafford. He’ll now team up with Bruno Fernandes as a key figure in Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s attack.

Manchester United had no intention of signing Ronaldo at first.

When it was revealed that he was close to joining Manchester City, the Red Devils acted quickly to seal the deal.

“Manchester United is thrilled to confirm that the club has reached agreement with Juventus for the signing of Cristiano Ronaldo, subject to agreement of personal terms, visa and medical,” the club said on Friday.

Cristiano Ronaldo, a five-time Ballon d’Or winner, has won more than 30 major trophies in his career, including five UEFA Champions League crowns, four FIFA Club World Cups, seven league wins in England, Spain, and Italy, and the European Championship for his native Portugal.

“He scored 118 goals in 292 appearances during his first spell with Manchester United.

“Everyone at the club is looking forward to Cristiano returning to Manchester.”

And he might agree with Fernandes on the possibility of United signing Wolves’ Ruben Neves.

The Portugal international has been a goal for the Red Devils all summer, and with the transfer window closing, there is still time for a deal to be done.

Earlier this summer, Eurosport’s Dean Jones reported that Fernandes wanted Neves to join the club after being impressed with his countryman.

On The Football Terrace podcast last month, he remarked, “That final place will be in midfield.”

“It’s only a matter of figuring out if it’s Ruben Neves or not. Is it a defender or a defensive midfielder? It’ll all depend, and it’ll give us a good idea of Solskjaer’s thinking heading into the season and the style of play we can anticipate from him.
