Carl Frampton vs. Jamel Herring fight schedules, live streams, and bout timings for tonight’s boxing match.

BOXING TONIGHT – Everything you need to know about Carl Frampton’s attempt to become a three-weight world champion against Jamel Herring in Dubai is provided by Express Sport.

Carl Frampton is aiming to make history tonight by becoming the first man to win three world titles. The Jackal has already won belts at super-bantamweight and featherweight, and when they meet in the Middle East, he hopes to take Jamel Herring’s WBO super-featherweight title.

Before the coronavirus outbreak shut down boxing, the two combatants were supposed to fight in Belfast last summer.

The fight was later rescheduled for February 27 at London’s CopperBox Arena, but Frampton’s hand injury forced the rescheduling.

The bout is now set to take place in Dubai, as Frampton attempts to put a painful 18-month layoff behind him.

The 34-year-old has previously admitted that a loss would end his great professional boxing career, but he is confident that “it’s not going to happen.”

He stated, “If I lose, I will retire because I want to be a world champion again.”

“I’d have to knock on doors and put myself in a position to challenge for another world championship.”

Frampton believes that during his entire camp, he has not lost a single round of sparring, and he will need to maintain that level of performance if he is to defeat his American opponent, a former US Marine sergeant who has served twice in Iraq.

Herring, meantime, has not lost since August 2017, when he was defeated by Ladarius Miller, and is defending his junior lightweight world title for the fourth time.

The bout will telecast on Channel 5, which is fantastic news for those who want to watch from home.

It’s unusual for a world title fight to show on free-to-air television, but Saturday’s bout has been approved.

Anyone with a valid TV license can also stream online or using the My5 app on their smartphones.

Around 10 p.m., the main event is expected to begin.
