Canelo Alvarez and Tommy Fury battle tonight: Schedules, live streams, and fight times

Boxing today – Express Sport has all you need to know ahead of the fight between Canelo Alvarez and reality TV star Tommy Fury on Saturday night.

Canelo Alvarez returns to the ring tonight, just two and a half months after his last fight in December against Callum Smith. In Miami, the WBA, WBC, and Ring Magazine super-middleweight champion defends his championships against Avni Yildirim.

Following his recent separation with Golden Boy Promotions, he signed a two-fight contract with Eddie Hearn’s Matchroom Boxing.

The WBC has him as No. 1 in the world, although he hasn’t fought in two years, losing to Anthony Dirrell in Minneapolis.

Canelo is looking to warm up for a potential mega-fight with Billy Joe Saunders in May, thus Yildirim enters the battle as a huge underdog.

Fans in the United Kingdom may recall him as the victim of a nasty knockout by Chris Eubank Jr in the 2017 World Boxing Super Series.

Zhang Zhilea, a Chinese heavyweight who is expected to fight Anthony Joshua one day, is also on the card.

Elsewhere, Tyson Fury’s younger brother Tommy is back and will headline BT Sport’s card tonight.

After the main event between Anto Cacace and Lyon Woodstock for the British super-featherweight title was canceled, the broadcasters preserved the show.

Despite the fact that Woodstock tested positive for Covid, Fury will still face 0-9 Scott Williams.

Here are the key details you’ll need to keep track of the action…

Jerry Forrest vs. Zhang Zhilea

Rodolfo Gomez Jr. vs. Diego Pacheco

Raul Corona vs. Marc Castro

Harry Gigliotti vs. Aaron Aponte

Lester Brown vs. Keyshawn Davis

Canelo vs. Yildirim will be broadcast live on DAZN, an American streaming service.

If you’re interested in watching, it’ll set you back £1.99 in the UK.

The fight can then be watched live on the app or on the internet.

On BT Sport 1, the entire Fury card will be broadcast.

It can also be viewed on laptops, smart TVs, phones, tablets, and game consoles via an app.

The fight between Canelo and Yildirim will take place in the early hours of Sunday. “Brinkwire News in Condensed Form.”
